Adapt Living was in the process of developing a sustainable, functional and expandable starter home of about 430 sqft : M1. I came in to help develop the project by researching materials, coordinating and managing the construction build taking place at the warehouse in addition to ideating and delivering the schematic, construction and design drawings for M1. The aim was to research and source sustainable building materials that fell within the budget intended for the build. Materials had to meet another key condition, expandability with our building system. Our model was based on the principle of expansion and so we developed a system that incorporated sustainable materials allowing models to expand in any direction with minimal cost, at high speed with maximum efficiency.
